Mykonos in all it's glory

We landed on Mykonos in the early afternoon. It was blazing hot, so many on the boat wanted to swim....We chose to 'wander' about and just get lost in the small community of teeny, tiny streets all in a jumble. It's sort of a labyrinth, but not really - still, I found it delightful. Mykonos is known to be the wealthiest island in the Cyclades, though at it's core, it still maintains the lifestyle of the sea- fishing. Enjoy this island with me:

Octopus drying in the sun - a big delicacy of the islands!

This is what I was waiting for..... the crisp white and blue of Greece!

Looking back on the town centre...... often called the "Venice" of Greece

And of course, the famous windmills of Mykonos

We loved wandering about on the old paths
